PS#33 Valentine’s Day

The Youth Foundation of Jersey City partnered with HCST County Prep High School’s Key Club on Valentine's Day at PS #33, the foundation’s adopted school, to conduct Valentine’s Day activities with the kids. Every year, the foundation adopts a school to support it. They install a food pantry, host financial literacy events, provide scholarships, and host events like these in each school they assume. Today, they partnered with HCST County Prep High School’s Key Club, an organization dedicated to engaging high school students with their community, to lead the activities with the younger students. These activities included creating heart faces, painting Valentine’s Day-themed blocks, and creating heart pouches. Some of the high schoolers even read to the students. They interacted with and assisted the students throughout kindergarten to 4th grade.
